Been going to Marco Polo since it was on Taraval St for the last 20 plus years. The new location is nice. I usually order the mango and jack fruit but not I just resort to jack fruit. There are no words to describe the taste but delicious! Go and try the different flavors. Tip: there is a Marco Polo in SJ too
I’ve heard of this place for a long time. The interior was very clean and bright with some space to sit. Their flavors were amazing. They’re definitely unique and tropical. The staff let us tried a couple flavors and all of them were really impressive. They were like juice burst in your mouth. The price was also very good. We were able to get three flavors with the medium cup and he gave us a decent amount. I would definitely recommend trying the pandan leaf and mangosteen. And I can’t wait to come back to try more.

Flavors like durian, jackfruit, Thai tea, and matcha bring bold, authentic taste profiles you won’t find at most ice cream shops. Each scoop is creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. They also offer traditional favorites like chocolate and vanilla, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re an adventurous eater or just want something cool and refreshing, Marco Polo is absolutely worth the visit.
Very excited to know my all time gelato place moved and still in SF. They posted a note that they will be moving to SJ. Very happy to see them in the new location. My favorites are Macha, Lychee, Thai Tea and double chocolate. Hot weather these days in SF and this is the right spot to be!
We got the mango italian ice cream and it's really tasty. Fruity, creamy, overall just a good ice cream!
July 2025: I was so sad when the Marco Polo closed its location on Taraval Street... But heard they came back again at a new location on Noriega Street . I had the banana and the ube ice cream. Was sooo good! I talked to the worker and unfortunately he said the arcobaleno ice cream is long gone and not coming back. Boo. 2017: (location on Taraval Street) Love their arcobaleno ice cream.
This is their new place, they moved from Taraval st. The place is small only has 2-3 tables. The ice cream tastes a little bit different than the old place, the durian and double choc are good. Around $6.00 for 2 scoops and you can choose 2 different taste.
Super yummy! They have so many Asian inspired flavors and this is now my favorite spot in all of San Fran! I went here in the dead of winter and it was so worth it, even sitting out in the cold. Can’t wait to go back, that durian ice cream has a GRIP on me.
